If you’ve ever wanted to be a writer, you know this: the going is tough.

From your family telling you ‘the chances of you making it as a writer are XYZomeShittyStatistic’, to giving up halfway through your novel, it’s a rough world for us creative writers.

Luckily, we aren’t the only ones, and we won’t be the last. If there is anything out there to encourage you, know this struggle is actually… normal. You are normal. Your worries? Totally expected. Crazy, right?

This is essential to know because it means you have just as much of a chance as that awesome Amazon author who’s published like, 50 books. YOU can do this.

Recognize what’s holding you back and reclaim power over your potential and worth.

What lies do you tell yourself? Not talented enough? Not committed enough? Just simply… not enough? Yeah, I get it. And although I’m writing this now, I’ll feel those things a thousand more times in my life. No one is immune to fear or self-doubt or failure.

So that means, of course, you need a pick-me-up. Here are some short and totally inspiring quotes by amazing authors who know the struggle too. It’s time to point your finger at those venomous, irritatingly unhelpful lies and say

NO.

** Expletives not required, but encouraged.

Let’s replace those lies with solid, positive truths. Starting with: you can do this.
